Step 1
Cut parts off the runner
A sharp single-blade nipper leaves a clean cut and a tiny nub, which means less sanding and no white stress marks.

Step 2
Sand nubs & seams
Work up the grits (400 → 1000 → 2000) to erase nub marks and seam lines before anything goes on the surface.

Step 3
Assemble & detail
Cement and putty for gaps, a pin vise for drilled detail, masking and panel-line markers for crisp lines.

Step 4
Prime & paint
Surfacer first, then color by brush, spray can or airbrush. Lacquer (Mr. Color) for durability, water-based (Aqueous, Acrysion) for an easy indoor setup.

Step 5
Weather & finish
Decals and washes add scale and story; a flat, semi-gloss or gloss topcoat seals everything and hides the plastic shine.

Step 6
Display
Action bases, LEDs and diorama scenery turn a finished kit into a display piece.
