Mecha Model Kits

Mecha model kits are scale model kits whose subject is a machine — robots, mecha, powered armor and the war machines characters pilot. This is P-Rex Hobby's non-Gundam mecha range, covering "ZOIDS", "Armored Core", "Macross", "Neon Genesis Evangelion", "Mobile Police Patlabor", "Fang of the Sun Dougram" and "Maschinen Krieger", from Kotobukiya, Good Smile Company, Bandai, Hasegawa, Takara Tomy, Max Factory and Aoshima.

What counts as a mecha model kit?

The subject is the machine itself. If the kit builds a robot, a mech, a powered-armor suit or a piloted war machine, it belongs here — even when a pilot figure is included in the box. If the kit builds the pilot, or any other person, creature or character, it belongs in Character Model Kits instead. Gundam kits have their own home in Gundam.
