Maschinen Krieger

Maschinen Krieger, often abbreviated as Ma.K., is a science fiction franchise created by Japanese artist and sculptor Kow Yokoyama in the 1980s. It began as SF3D, a monthly series in the hobby magazine Hobby Japan from 1982 to 1985, and is set on a recolonized Earth where the Strahl Democratic Republic and the Independent Mercenary Army go to war in 2882. This page collects Maschinen Krieger kits and Ma.K. models, mostly 1/20 and 1/35 scale plastic kits.

Main characters

• Pkf.85 Falke: an antigravity armored raider; Hasegawa's first Ma.K. kit in March 2009 was the Pkf 85 Falke attack craft.
• P.K.H.103 Nutcracker: a robot hovertank fielded by the Strahl Democratic Republic.
• MK44: a humanoid mecha suit from Robot Battle V, a side story to the franchise.
• Großer Hund: a humanoid unmanned interceptor, made by Hasegawa as 1/20 kits in several variants.

Maschinen Krieger figures and model kits

• Hasegawa: 1/20 and 1/35 Ma.K. plastic kits, including Pkf.85 Falke, Großer Hund, MK44, Nutcracker and Lunadiver Stingray.

How to choose

Hasegawa's 1/20 kits cover suits such as the MK44 and the Großer Hund, while its 1/35 kits include the Nutcracker hovertank and the Lunadiver Stingray. Kaiyodo ARTPLA sets pair a machine with a figure, and Good Smile Company's PLAMAX Falke is a 1/35 alternative to the Hasegawa versions. Availability changes as makers reissue and retire items, so check each product page for the current status.
