Robot Spirits

The Robot Spirits is Tamashii Nations' line of pre-built, fully articulated mecha action figures. They are non-scale, standing roughly 12–14 cm — close in size to a 1/144 model kit, but finished, painted and ready to pose out of the box. The range here is dominated by "Mobile Suit Gundam" — especially the ver. A.N.I.M.E. series, which recreates mobile suits as they appeared on screen — alongside "Gundam SEED", "Zeta Gundam", "Armored Core", "Evangelion" and "Grendizer".

Robot Spirits or Gunpla?

Same mobile suits, opposite hobbies. Gunpla are model kits you build; Robot Spirits are finished figures with die-cast or PVC joints engineered for posing, usually with effect parts and swappable hands. For the premium die-cast tier, see METAL BUILD.

Part of Tamashii Nations, Bandai's collector-figure brand. Other lines: S.H.Figuarts, Soul of Chogokin.

What does "ver. A.N.I.M.E." mean on a Robot Spirits figure?

A.N.I.M.E. stands for "Action New Imagination Memory Emotion". It is the name of a Robot Spirits series that started with the RX-78-2 Gundam.

Are Robot Spirits and Robot Damashii the same line?

Yes. Product listings use both names for Tamashii Nations' mecha figure line, for example "Robot Spirits" and "ROBOT Damashii ver. A.N.I.M.E.".

What comes with a Robot Spirits ver. A.N.I.M.E. figure?

Each box includes the figure plus weapons, effect parts and spare hands. The RX-78-2 Gundam, for example, comes with four pairs of interchangeable hands, a hand storage deck, a shield, a beam rifle with effect part and a hyper bazooka. Contents differ by figure, so check each product page.

How tall is a Robot Spirits figure?

A typical ver. A.N.I.M.E. figure stands about 12.5 cm tall, as with the RX-78-2 Gundam and the GM Ground Type. Some models differ in size.
