FAQ

What is Union Arena?

Union Arena is a Bandai trading card game where characters from many different anime and manga series are played under the same common rules. Each series gets its own starter decks and booster packs.

When did Union Arena come out in English?

The English version of Union Arena launched in North America in October 2024. The original Japanese game was released in March 2023.

How many cards are in a Union Arena deck?

A Union Arena deck has exactly 50 cards, made from Character, Site and Event cards. You can include up to 4 copies of the same card number, and you also need 3 Action Point (AP) cards to play.

Can I mix different series in one Union Arena deck?

No. Cards from different series cannot be included in the same deck, so each deck is built around a single title, such as Jujutsu Kaisen or Demon Slayer.

Should I start with a starter deck or booster packs?

A starter deck is the easiest way to begin, because it includes a ready-to-play 50-card deck, 3 Action Point cards and a playsheet for beginners. Booster packs are then used to add new cards and customize the deck.

Where can I find the official Union Arena rules?

The official rule manual, beginner guide and tournament rules are published on the English Union Arena website by Bandai at unionarena-tcg.com.
