What Is Ichibansho?
Ichibansho (translated as 'best prize') is Bandai Spirits' line of premium prize-style figures that bridge the gap between affordable prize figures and expensive scale figures. Ichibansho figures offer detailed sculpting and painting at accessible price points, covering major anime and manga franchises including Dragon Ball, One Piece, My Hero Academia, and Demon Slayer. The figures typically stand 20-30cm tall and feature dynamic poses with impressive base designs.
Ichibansho: History and Evolution
Ichibansho launched as part of Bandai Spirits' figure division, leveraging Bandai's vast anime licensing portfolio to produce high-quality figures at competitive prices. The line has rapidly grown to become one of the largest figure series by volume, with new releases every month covering the most popular anime franchises. Ichibansho figures are especially popular among Dragon Ball and One Piece collectors.
How to Choose Your Ichibansho
Ichibansho figures are an excellent value compared to traditional scale figures. They come fully painted and assembled, requiring only minor setup on the included base. The consistent quality and wide character selection make Ichibansho an ideal starting point for anime figure collecting.
