Primer and surfacer go on before colour to fill fine scratches and give paint an even base. The surfacers you can order here are Mr. Hobby's (GSI Creos) Aqueous Surfacer spray cans.

What you will find here

• Aqueous Surfacer 1000 spray — GSI Creos' water-based surfacer, based on its renewed Aqueous Hobby Color, with little solvent odour; it fills surface scratches and builds a base coat before painting.
• Aqueous Surfacer 500 spray — coarser particles; GSI Creos says it suits filling larger scratches, sealing wood grain, and gives a slightly rough surface that makes a good base for brush painting.

FAQ

500 or 1000?

GSI Creos says the 500 has coarser particles, for larger scratches and as a base for brush painting; the 1000 is the finer grade.
