Description
Discover the Zumwalt-class guided-missile destroyer model kit, a masterpiece developed by the United States Navy, now available for you to build and admire. This model represents the pinnacle of naval engineering with its advanced stealth design and formidable ground-fire capabilities. With a full-load displacement exceeding 14,000 tons, this class surpasses the Ticonderoga-class guided missile cruiser in size. Its unique tumblehome hull shape enhances stealth, while the conventional mast has been replaced for a sleeker profile. The model is powered by an integrated electric propulsion system (IPS) and comes armed with two 155mm advanced gun systems (AGS), ESSM, SM-2/SM-3, and Tomahawk for an authentic representation.
The Zumwalt-class model also features a helicopter vault and deck at the rear of the hull, capable of operating the MH-60R Seahawk and the MQ-8 unmanned aerial vehicle. Additionally, it includes a high-speed rigid inflatable boat (RHIB) under the helicopter landing deck at the stern for added detail. Currently, the first ship, the Zumwalt, and the second ship, the Michael Monsoor, are in service, with the third ship, the Lyndon B. Johnson, set to be commissioned in the future.
This detailed model kit from Takom comes with clear parts, photo-etched parts, a metal barrel, 3D-printed parts, and decals for three versions, allowing for a highly detailed and accurate representation of this modern naval marvel.
