Description
Discover the iconic Mutsuki Type Destroyer Model Kit by Pit-Road, a masterpiece designed to bring history to your fingertips. This meticulously crafted model represents the Mutsuki type destroyer, which was launched in 1926, featuring a 61cm torpedo launcher that marked a significant improvement in its lightning strike capabilities. With numerous enhancements such as a double curved bow and expanded flare, this ship underwent several modifications to improve performance after the Tomozuru and 4th Fleet Incidents. The Mutsuki played a pivotal role at the onset of the Pacific War in 1941, leading the destroyers Kisaragi, Yayoi, and Mochizuki in the Wake Island capture operation, before meeting its end in the Solomon Sea in 1942 due to a B-17 bomber attack.
This model kit allows you to build a full-hull or waterline version of the Mutsuki, complete with decals for the Kisaragi, Yayoi, and Kikuzuki. Enhance the realism of your model with included photo-etched parts for the bridge window, middle and rear gun seat stays, skid beam, signal stand, directional loop antenna, 25mm triple machine gun, 25mm machine gun, No. 13 electric probe, hawser reel, life ring, and more. A special submarine instep target is also part of this comprehensive kit. Don't miss the chance to add this historical piece to your collection. Order yours today!
