Introducing the Gato-class submarine, the first of its kind mass-produced for the United States during World War II. Completed in December 1941, this historic vessel played a crucial role in the fight against Japan as the main force of the submarine unit. Active until after the war, the Gato was also tasked with conducting reconnaissance as a fleet-type submarine, reporting the position of the enemy fleet before decisive battles.
