RX-93 ν Gundam (usually written "Nu Gundam") is Amuro Ray's custom mobile suit in Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack, the 1988 film set in UC 0093. This collection gathers the ν Gundam kits and figures we carry, from the 1/60 Perfect Grade Unleashed down to SD and Shokugan releases.
What makes the ν Gundam different
-
The Perfect Grade kit is the first ν Gundam made at 1/60. Bandai released it on 31 January 2026 as the Gunpla 45th anniversary product.
-
It is big. Bandai gives the finished model as roughly 380 mm, or about 560 mm including the fin funnels, and a dedicated stand (290 × 220 mm base) is in the box.
-
The fin funnels are Psycommu weapons, and they had to be re-engineered at this size. Bandai describes the 1/60 kit as a rebuild of the fin funnel as a large-scale Psycommu armament rather than a scaled-up copy of an older part.
-
It builds like a structure, not a toy. The kit uses Bandai's ULTIMATE UNIT SYSTEM: you assemble the inner frame first, then fit the armour panels over it. The frame mixes several moulded colours with metallic parts, etched metal seals, metal thruster nozzles and vulcan barrels, and the psycho-frame sections get a secondary finish to reproduce the film's glow.
-
The lighting is a separate purchase. Bandai sells the LED unit for this kit on its own, so the glow effect shown in the video below is not in the standard box.
Which ν Gundam should you buy?
-
First kit, or a gift — the Entry Grade 1/144. Fewer, larger parts, snap-fit, no tools or paint needed.
-
Best all-round build — the Real Grade 1/144. Same shelf footprint as the Entry Grade, far more parts, and all six fin funnels are in the box.
-
Most detail at 1/100 — the Master Grade Ver.Ka. It is also the base kit that the HWS and Double Fin Funnel add-ons are built for.
-
Shelf centrepiece — the Perfect Grade Unleashed 1/60. The largest and most involved build here; the LED unit is sold separately.
-
No building at all — the finished figures: Metal Robot Spirits is pre-painted and articulated, Gundam Universe is the small budget option, and Metal Structure Kaitai-Shou-Ki is the large display piece.
How big are they?
Bandai lists the 1/60 Perfect Grade Unleashed at about 38 cm tall (56 cm with the fin funnels). Scaling from that, the other kits come out at roughly:
- 1/60 — Perfect Grade Unleashed: about 38 cm, up to about 56 cm with the fin funnels
- 1/100 — Master Grade: about 23 cm
- 1/144 — Entry Grade, Real Grade, HGUC: about 16 cm
Display stands and deployed funnels add height, so leave a little headroom if it is going in a cabinet.
Add-ons in this collection that are not complete kits
Several items are designed to go with a kit you buy separately. Check the product page before ordering:
- PG Unleashed 1/60 LED unit — the lighting for the Perfect Grade kit, sold on its own by Bandai.
- MG HWS Expansion Set and MG Double Fin Funnel Custom Unit — add-ons for the Master Grade Ver.Ka.
- RG HWS Expansion Set — add-on for the Real Grade ν Gundam.
- HG Booster Bed — accessory for the HG ν Gundam.
Anything marked P-Bandai or Gundam Base Limited is a limited production run rather than a regular retail kit, so restocks are not guaranteed.

Frequently asked questions
Which ν Gundam kit is the biggest?
The Perfect Grade Unleashed 1/60: Bandai lists it at roughly 38 cm, or about 56 cm with the fin funnels. Master Grade is 1/100 and Real Grade, High Grade and Entry Grade are 1/144.
Do I need glue or paint?
No. Every kit in this collection is snap-fit and moulded in colour; paint is optional and only needed if you want a custom finish.
Does the Perfect Grade include the LED unit?
No. Bandai sells the LED unit for the PG Unleashed ν Gundam separately, and the glow in the promotion video comes from that unit.
What is the difference between HWS and the Double Fin Funnel add-ons?
Both are Master Grade add-ons: HWS is the Heavy Weapon System pack of extra armour and weapons, and the Double Fin Funnel unit is the alternate funnel loadout. Both attach to the MG ν Gundam Ver.Ka.
Is Hi-ν Gundam the same mobile suit?
No. Hi-ν Gundam is a separate design that appears in the novel version, Beltorchika's Children, rather than in the 1988 film.
