This model kit marks a significant upgrade from the decades-old Airfix kit, offering modelers a fresh perspective on this iconic aircraft. Unlike previous Valom releases that heavily relied on resin for intricate parts, this kit features a minimal use of "multi-media" with a small fret of photo-etch dedicated to seatbelts, antennas, and the instrument panel, ensuring a more accessible assembly experience.
- All other components are crafted from high-quality injection plastic, showcasing exceptional detail.
- The surface detailing is particularly noteworthy, offering a level of realism.
- Included is a bomb bay with structural detail, adding an extra layer of authenticity. Please note, the bomb bay doors are molded closed and do not include internal detail or bombs. However, dedicated modelers will find it easy to modify this should they wish to display the bay open.
- The instructions are enhanced with period photos detailing the internal areas, providing valuable insights for an accurate build.
- Decals are provided for two Swedish machines and a RAF aircraft of 144 Sq. in Russian markings, representing its time as a "guest" of 24.MTAP in Russia, allowing for diverse and historically accurate finishes.
