Description
Discover the pinnacle of World War I tank models with Takom's exquisitely detailed and accurate Mark A Whippet Medium Tank! This model stands out as a tribute to one of the most iconic tanks of the Great War.
- Armed with four Hotchkiss .303 machine guns, the 14-ton Whippet redefined "high-speed" combat, boasting a battlefield velocity of 8 mph (13 kph). This was a notable advancement from the Mark IV Heavy Tank's top speed of 4 MPH (6.4 kph), making the Whippet twice as fast.
- A total of 200 Whippets were produced, seeing action with the British, German, and Russian armies. Post-war, the Whippet also marked Japan's foray into armored warfare, with about six units sold to Japan in 1922, where they remained in service into the 1930s. (Secure the Japanese version HERE!)
- The model kit comes to life with moving wheels, effortlessly assembled snap-together indy-link tracks, PE detail parts, and decals for 8 different versions, including British, German, and Russian liveries.
- Additional features include hatches that can be displayed open or closed, and the iconic four Hotchkiss .303 machine guns.
Model enthusiasts who have eagerly awaited the release of WWI armor kits, particularly the Whippet, should not miss this opportunity to add this masterpiece to their collection.
