Experience the cutting-edge design of the PL-01 Polish light tank with Takom's 1/35-scale model kit. This prototype, inspired by the Swedish CV90120-T light tank, was developed by OBRUM in collaboration with BAE Systems. Unveiled in September 2013 at the International Defense Industry Exhibition, the PL-01 is a marvel of modern military engineering. Its unmanned turret is armed with a versatile 105mm or 120mm cannon, capable of firing both conventional ammunition and anti-tank guided missiles. The tank's innovative design includes a radio-absorbing material that covers its surface, a system to regulate the temperature of its armor to evade thermal sensors, and an exhaust cooling system to further reduce its thermal signature. Although mass production was initially planned for 2018, this model kit allows you to own a piece of modern military history today.
The kit is meticulously designed to offer a realistic building experience, featuring hatches that can be assembled in open or closed positions, link-and-length tracks with an assembly jig for precision, and clear parts that enhance the model's authenticity. You also have the choice of four different types of markings to customize your model. This modern light tank model is a must-have addition to any military model enthusiast's collection.
