Description
Discover the iconic Mk.IV, the final iteration of the Vildebeest built for the RAF, now available as a detailed model kit. This version stands out with its sleeve valve Bristol Perseus engine, encased in an aerodynamically designed cowling, making it a distinctive addition to any collection. Initially featuring a two-bladed wooden propeller, the prototype evolved to include a three-bladed metal propeller in its series production models. Primarily deployed for anti-submarine patrols in New Zealand until 1941, these planes transitioned to training roles the following year, before being replaced by the more modern Harvard trainers and officially retired in 1943.
This model kit brings history to your fingertips, offering parts molded in gray, along with an array of detailed components for an authentic build.
[Includes]:
- Photo-etched parts for enhanced detail
- Decals for customizing your model
- Injection molded resin parts for a realistic finish
[Materials]:
- High-quality gray plastic
- Metal for the photo-etched parts
- Resin for specialized components
Whether you're a history enthusiast or a model kit aficionado, the Mk.IV Vildebeest model kit promises an engaging building experience and a splendid piece of aviation history to display.
