Description
HG 1/144 RX-78-2 Gundam [Beyond Global] from "Mobile Suit Gundam" — a 40th-anniversary HG that consolidates the line's accumulated tooling tech to deliver Kunio Okawara's RX-78-2 in a fresh form.
The Beyond Global build re-examines First Gundam from the ground up, prioritizing both natural posing and faithful proportions. Forward-bend and swing axes throughout the torso, an inward-bending hip joint, and ball-jointed wrists let you compose poses that earlier HG kits couldn't reach.
Key Features
- Pursues both clean posing and accurate proportion-and-articulation balance
- Forward-bend and swing structure built into the torso; neck axis moves fore and aft
- Inward-bending joint at the thigh root for more human-like posing
- Independently movable wrists let the shield take natural angles
- Ball-jointed wrist blocks add power to clenched-fist gestures
- Hip axis swings deeply forward; rear skirt deploys widely for backward leg motion
- Side-chest blocks act as shoulder-blade pivots without exposing the shoulder axis
