MGEX 1/100 Unicorn Gundam Ver.Ka from "Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn" — the launch entry in Bandai's new high-end MG sub-brand, built around an extreme LED-illuminated Psycho-Frame.
Marking the 40th anniversary of Gunpla, MGEX challenges the limits of MG by combining accumulated engineering with material themes set per unit. The opening theme is the "ultimate light-emission mechanism," fusing a calculated structure with a newly developed flexible LED sheet for the most expressive Unicorn Gundam yet. Button-controlled lighting moves from the eyes and head main camera to the body Psycho-Frame, shifting between red and green and pulsing in intensity, while the kit also realises Unicorn Gundam's first transformation, color change, and full articulation in one model. Proportions are fully supervised by Hajime Katoki on a newly designed body.
