With its fully detailed cockpit, you can choose to add belts for an extra touch of realism or use the included pilot figure for a ready-to-display model. The kit doesn't stop there; it also features a detailed radiator assembly and landing gear. Customize your model with options such as drop tanks, boarding steps, and either open or closed canopies, with a one-piece canopy available for the closed option. Moreover, the kit offers full flap detail molded into the upper and lower wing halves, allowing the ambitious modeler to pose the flaps down with a bit of modification, despite not being specified in the instructions. The decals provided allow you to replicate the aircraft of three historical figures: Capt. Teruhiko Kobayashi of the 244th Flight Regiment, Lt. Mitsuo Koyake of the 6th Shinten Seikutai, 18th Flight Regiment, and Sgt. Maj. Iwao Tabata of the 39th Training Squadron. As a bonus, the initial release includes a white-metal figure of Capt. Teruhiko Kobayashi, adding a unique collectible to your model.
