Description
Mikasa blue flower komachi ver -Japanese Doll- 1/4 Scale Figure from Azur Lane — Mikasa joins the 1/4 scale "Japanese Doll" lineup from FuRyu's F:NEX brand.
Made in collaboration with the traditional craft maker Kaga Yuzen from Ishikawa Prefecture, the figure combines elements of a traditional Japanese doll. Her pose, looking over her shoulder with an umbrella in hand, echoes the "beauty looking back" theme, and her windblown hair and hair accessories are carefully sculpted.
The costume prototype was made by the Ichimatsu doll maker Yamazaki Akisaki, with the kimono pattern redesigned from the actual Kaga Yuzen kimono by artist Tetsuya Shishime and digitally printed using the ebamonyo technique. The obi uses golden brocade from Morisan, a Nishijin weaver in Kyoto, with the "ura-tsukai" technique also used for hina matsuri dolls.
