A symbol of the Allied Fleet alongside the Yamato, this model represents the Musashi during the pivotal 1944 Shiai Ichi Operation. Now re-issued with precision-molded 25mm triple machine gun parts and updated specifications, this kit is a must-have for history enthusiasts and model builders alike.
Please note, this product comes as an unpainted kit requiring adhesive assembly and painting. It is an offshore model that does not include the bottom of the ship and uses conventional (special series) molds.
The Musashi, the second ship of the Yamato class and a marvel of the Imperial Japanese Navy, boasted nine 46cm cannons - the largest in the world at the time. Despite its impressive armament, the Musashi met its end in the Sea of Sibuyan during the Battle of Leyte in October 1944, after being struck by an air attack. This model captures the Musashi in its final configuration, complete with a No. 13 electric probe on the aft mast and closed porthole windows indicative of late-war designs.

The kit features a one-piece hull design, with port, starboard, and upper wooden deck sections. The main and secondary guns are crafted, with the main gun barrels and canvas as one piece, and the secondary gun reduced to two guns with integrated turret and barrel parts. Choose between conventional and precision-molded parts for the 25mm triple machine gun, and enjoy the inclusion of two types of water reconnaissance planes in gray.
Decals provided allow for detailed customization, including warship flags, the Nissho flag, shipboard aircraft markings, draft markings, the chrysanthemum crest, and the ship's name in gold or filled-in warship colors.
