Description
RG 1/144 RX-78-2 GUNDAM Ver.2.0 from "Mobile Suit Gundam" — the original Gundam released in updated Ver.2.0 RG form by Bandai.
An all-new internal frame inspired by semi-monocoque construction lets you re-experience the building of a mobile suit. The joint structure reinterprets the movable axes so that "the parts that look like joints actually bend properly," and the legs use composite-frame joints to maintain a near-human silhouette during motion.
Key Features
- New semi-monocoque-inspired internal frame
- Reinterpreted joint axes — visible joint sections bend correctly
- Composite-frame leg joints preserve a human-like outline in motion
- Detail engraved even on hidden surfaces — joints and part backsides
- Clean exterior with no conspicuous mounting holes
- Complex head colors reproduced through molded color — twin eyes, main camera, magazine drum, cheek duct
- Panel lines split by functional block, with dividing lines designed against actual structure
- Two-tone white molding adds shading and information density
- Core Fighter transforms into Core Block; new auxiliary joint gimmick built inside the compact Core Block supports free posing
- RG-original gimmick: chest armor opens and closes vertically over the cockpit
