Drawing inspiration from the legendary wartime leader, the Sir Winston Churchill topsail schooner was constructed to compete in the prestigious Tall Ship Races. Launched in 1964 under the patronage of Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, the Sail Training Association funded this magnificent vessel. With its three majestic masts, the schooner embarked on numerous races and served as a training ship for aspiring young sailors until it was sold in 2000.
