Saint Seiya, also known as Knights of the Zodiac, is the Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Masami Kurumada, serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Shōnen Jump from 1985 to 1990. It follows warriors called Saints who fight wearing sacred armor named Cloths, designed after the constellations they adopt as guardian symbols, sworn to defend the reincarnation of the goddess Athena. Toei Animation adapted it into a 114-episode anime from 1986 to 1989, followed by The Hades Chapter OVA series from 2002 to 2008.
