Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny is Sunrise's 50-episode direct sequel to Mobile Suit Gundam SEED, aired in Japan from October 2004 to October 2005 with director Mitsuo Fukuda and most of the SEED staff returning. Set two years after the first series in the Cosmic Era, it follows new ZAFT pilot Shinn Asuka as the Coordinator-led ZAFT and the Natural nations slide back into war, with Kira Yamato, Athrun Zala, Lacus Clyne and Cagalli returning. Its mobile suits, Destiny, Strike Freedom, Infinite Justice, Impulse, Legend, Saviour and Akatsuki among them, are some of the most-kitted designs in the whole franchise. HG 1/144 kits are the quickest builds and the cheapest way to get a mobile suit on the shelf; the HGCE line is the current-standard tooling for Cosmic Era designs. RG 1/144 adds an inner frame and far more detail at the same footprint. MG 1/100 and MGEX are the large centrepiece builds; PG 1/60 is the largest. SD kits are the compact, beginner-friendly option. P-Bandai items are limited web-shop releases and rarely restock, so check each product page for current status.
