This model pays homage to the M26 Pershing's evolution, featuring a prototype equipped with a high-output Continental AV-1790-3 engine and a M3A1 gun. The enhancements include a newly designed smoke eliminator and muzzle brake, leading to its naming after the legendary WWII general, George Patton, in 1949. The M46 Patton marks the beginning of the renowned Patton series, including the M47, M48, and M60, which dominated as the U.S. military's main battle tanks until the advent of the M1 Abrams.
This comprehensive kit is designed for enthusiasts and collectors alike, offering T80E1 and T84E1 tracks of the link-and-length type, complete with an assembly jig for precision building. The main hatch is engineered to open and close, adding an extra layer of realism to your model. Additionally, the kit includes decals for 9 different versions and 2 shields (with and without cover) to customize your tank model. Please note, figures are not included in this kit.
