Description
Discover the extraordinary Object 279 tank model kit by Takom, a masterpiece designed to conquer terrains deemed impassable for conventional tanks and engineered to endure the force of a nuclear blast. This unique Soviet marvel, with its four-track system and UFO-like hull, was built to be an indomitable force with its thick armor and powerful 130mm main gun. Although the project was eventually abandoned in favor of developing lighter and faster armored vehicles, the legacy of Object 279 lives on through this meticulously crafted model kit.
Following their successful 1/16 Renault FT model, Takom presents the Soviet Object 279 tank model kit, a testament to their commitment to precision and detail. This kit is based on exhaustive research of the actual Object 279 preserved at the Kubinka museum in Russia, ensuring an unparalleled level of accuracy. The kit includes non-workable indy-link tracks, decals, and colored photo-etched parts. Modelers have the option to build two distinct turret styles (one featuring the long 130mm gun and another with a shorter, larger caliber gun tube), allowing for the interchangeability of turrets to display your preferred version. This kit enables the construction of three different versions of the tank: Kubinka Tank Museum 2013, Object 279 1960, and Object 279M with the shorter gun. An added bonus is the inclusion of a highly detailed Chemical Defense Soldier figure, complete with weapon.
With the market now offering three new kits of the Object 279, Takom's version stands out with its comprehensive features and exceptional accuracy, promising to satisfy the expectations of the most meticulous modelers.
