Description
An older kit, but one that holds up well despite its age. Features complete cockpit, engine and gun bay assemblies. Wing and cowl flaps are separate parts. Can be built as either a -3 or a -5. Surface detail is raised, but restrained; considering the Hellcat was made with lap-jointed skin, this is probably more "accurate" than recessed panel lines and rivets. Decals are for "41," a -3 of VF-17, "Minzi III," ace David McCampbell's personal aircraft (a -5) and a Hellcat F. Mk. 1 of 800 Sqn. FAA (equivalent to a -3).
