Discover the fascinating history of the BV-155, a high-altitude interceptor designed during World War II to counter the threat of the American B-29 super bomber. Initially conceived as an upgrade to the Me/Bf 109 by Messerschmidt, the project was transferred to Blohm & Voss due to capacity issues. Renamed the BV-155, Blohm & Voss undertook significant redesigns to address the original model's shortcomings, resulting in the aircraft you see before you. Although only three prototypes were ever built, and it never advanced beyond this stage, the BV-155 remains a remarkable piece of aviation history.
