Rim Sharpener

GodHand Rim Sharpener (GH-SRB-08-12) — a hand-turned cutting bit for thinning down the rims and edges of plastic parts. The blade is spherical, so it follows the workpiece instead of digging into it, and it works on openings of a range of sizes and depths.

Because the cutting edge is a ball, it reaches the inside of a rim where a flat file cannot go, and it sits against the part with very little wobble. Pressing lightly and turning it gently is all it needs — used that way it thins material smoothly and will not over-cut the way a powered tool can. The shank is 2.35 mm and the bit is supplied in Φ8 mm and Φ12 mm sizes. It is a hand-turning tool only: it cannot be used in a rotary tool such as a motor tool.
