GodHand Lightning Nipper LTN-120 (with Protection Cap) — a 120 mm single-edged nipper with a carbon-steel blade, made for builders who want the finest possible cut surface on plastic parts and are willing to work within a plastic-only tool's limits.
Like every single-edged nipper, the LTN-120 works by pressing the flat side of the blade against the part rather than pinching it from both sides — that is what leaves a cut face clean enough to skip sanding on many parts. The finer the edge, the less it tolerates twisting, thick gates or anything harder than styrene. It ships with a synthetic-leather cap to protect the edge in storage.

Using & Caring for Your Nipper
The LTN-120 pairs a 120 mm body with a carbon-steel single edge and ships with a synthetic-leather cap. It is a plastic-only tool, and the most delicate nipper in the line-up — the finer the edge, the less forgiving it is of a twisted cut or an over-thick gate.
- Cut twice, not once. Take the part off the runner with a rough cut a few millimetres away from the piece, then trim the remaining nub flush. Cutting flush in one pass forces the blade through more plastic than it is designed for and leaves stress marks on the part.
- Let the blade do the work. Close the handles in a straight, steady squeeze. Twisting or levering the nipper sideways while the blade is engaged is the single most common way to chip an edge.
- Plastic only. Never cut metal wire, photo-etch, staples or hardened gates with a plastic nipper. One cut is enough to ruin the edge permanently.
- Mind the thick gates. On heavy or reinforced gates, remove most of the material with a hobby knife or side cutter first, then finish with the nipper.
- Wipe it down after a session. Plastic dust packs into the pivot and the flat face. A soft brush or dry cloth is enough — no solvent needed.
- Keep the cap on. The supplied protection cap is not packaging. Store the nipper capped so the edge never touches another tool in the drawer.
- A drop of light oil on the pivot every so often keeps the action smooth. Keep oil off the cutting face.
