First entering service in 1940 and produced until mid-1944, this aircraft was a pivotal part of the German army's operations, especially on the Eastern Front where it earned the nickname "Flying Eye" for its exceptional reconnaissance capabilities. Its distinctive tail booms shape also earned it the Russian nickname "Rama" (Frame). This model kit, representing the FW 189A-1 modification with two MG15 machine guns for defensive armament, is a tribute to the 845 serial aircraft produced during its time.
