Discover the iconic I-16 fighter aircraft model kit, a tribute to one of the pioneering monoplane fighters with retractable landing gear from the N.N. Polikarpov Design Bureau. This detailed replica celebrates the aircraft's first flight on December 30, 1934, and honors the "Type 24" variant, equipped with the M-63 engine and a reinforced chassis, which saw production in 1939-40 with 934 units made. During the summer of 1941, the I-16 was at the forefront of Soviet Fighter Aviation, playing a crucial role in air battles across all sectors of the Soviet-German front and remaining in combat until mid-1943. This model kit, when assembled, measures 19.2cm in length and has a wingspan of 28.2cm. It comprises 115 parts and includes decals for an authentic finish.
