The Chance Vought F4U Corsair, an iconic American fighter aircraft, played a crucial role in both World War II and the Korean War. With demand soaring, production was taken over by Goodyear, resulting in the creation of the FG Corsairs. From 1940 to 1953, Vought manufactured a total of 12,571 F4U Corsairs in 16 different models, making it the longest production run of any piston-engined fighter in U.S. history.
This highly detailed kit features grey plastic parts and clear pieces for the canopy, along with decals for added authenticity. Once assembled, the model measures 214mm long and 260mm wide, capturing the essence of this legendary aircraft.
