Experience a piece of military history with the Vickers Medium Mark I, a pivotal British tank from the interwar period. Crafted by the renowned Vickers company, this model replaced the older Mark V heavy tanks. Alongside its successor, the Vickers Medium Mark II, it was a cornerstone of the Royal Tank Regiments. As the first of 200 tanks to be retired in 1938, the Medium Mark I holds a special place in military history.
This tank was the first to be mass-produced since the Char 2Cs, marking a significant moment in military manufacturing. With the subsequent Renault NC27 seeing only about thirty units built, the British Mediums dominated the world's tank production in the 1920s. Although they never engaged in combat, their existence allowed the British forces to explore and refine concepts of mechanized warfare, laying the groundwork for strategies used in World War II.
The model comes meticulously molded in tan plastic and is enhanced with photo-etched parts, offering a detailed and authentic representation of this historic tank.
