Description
Door Gods Playing Cards - Half-Brick Set — a Room One Cards set of multiple decks inspired by the Menshen, the Door Gods of Chinese folklore.
The Menshen are guardian deities traditionally believed to ward off evil spirits and bless homes. Court cards show warriors and deities with painted faces and armored stances, and number cards reveal panoramic seasonal garden scenes when fanned or laid in sequence. The card backs use a tracery window design inspired by lattice windows and seasonal flowers, with palettes drawn from traditional porcelain glazing and a navy blue replacing the standard red and black suits.
Special Editions add metallic gilt edges. Tuck boxes include the Awakened Guardian, with magnetic gates depicting Shenshu and Yulu, and the Watchful Sentinel on the Spring Standard Edition. Cards are printed on M30 magic card stock with BETA finish in standard poker size.
