Description
Dinosaur Skeleton Plastic Model: Tyrannosaurus is a plastic model kit by Bandai that recreates a Tyrannosaurus skeleton, molded in the new material LIMEX.
LIMEX is a molding material developed in Japan whose main ingredient is more than 50% limestone, greatly reducing the use of conventional petroleum-based resin. Using it gives the fossil a sense of realism: it has a dry, plaster-like feel, a matte surface with a soft sheen, and a noticeable weight because limestone is denser than ordinary plastic.
The skeleton is sculpted in detail from head to tail at about 215mm. The joints are split into separate parts so the skeleton can be displayed in the posture you prefer, and the carnivore's teeth are sculpted in fine detail. No glue is needed for assembly. Because of the material, parts may come loose from the runners during shipping; this is not a quality issue and they can still be used.
