Discover the power and versatility of the Hurricane Mk.II, now available in a detailed 1/72-scale model kit. This kit allows you to build either the Mk.IIc or Mk.IIb version, each with its unique historical significance and armament. The Mk.II was an upgrade from the Mk.I, featuring a more powerful Merlin XXX engine, an extended nose by 11.4cm, and a larger radiator. The Mk.IIb, known as "the Hariboomer," was armed with twelve .303-caliber machine guns and could carry two 500lb bombs. On the other hand, the Mk.IIc boasted four 20mm Hispano-Suiza machine guns, offering superior firepower and improved flight performance by reducing the number of guns and overall weight.
This kit includes newly molded wings for the Mk.IIb, a bomb rack, two bombs, an extra 45-gallon tank, the initial exhaust pipes, and tailwheel. Enhance your model with included photo-etched parts and painting mask stickers for added detail and realism.
