Discover the Type 10, a cutting-edge addition to the Japan Ground Self Defense Force (JGSDF) since its production began in 2011 and its deployment at the JGSDF Fuji School in January 2012. This model surpasses its predecessor, the Type 90, in several key areas. Notably, its vehicle weight has been significantly reduced, allowing for transportation on a single trailer, unlike the Type 90 which required disassembly and two trailers for transport. The Type 10 boasts advanced IT-based communication equipment and a C41 network system, facilitating seamless data sharing between squadrons, the command center, and air units. Its modular armor, designed for easy battlefield maintenance, can be equipped in blocks. The main cannon, firing APFSDS and HEAT-MP type shells, offers superior penetration. Additionally, the Type 10 is outfitted with an altitude control unit and secondary armament of 7.62mm/12.7mm machine guns, enhancing its combat capabilities.
