Discover the Type 74 MBT, the third installment in Aoshima's Remote Control Plastic Model series, now available in a 1/48 scale model! This model represents the Type 74, a key component of the Japan Ground Self-Defense force, with an impressive fleet of 873 vehicles in active service. Its design features a low profile of 2.25 meters, ideal for deflecting enemy cannon fire. The Type 74's advanced hydropneumatics suspension system allows for adjustable height and positioning, adapting seamlessly to any battlefield terrain. Equipped with a Vickers 105mm L7A1 and enhanced with various accuracy-improving devices, the Type 74 continues to receive upgrades to maintain its edge in modern warfare.
This meticulously crafted model is powered by two FA-130 motors and requires batteries (not included) for operation. It is controlled via a 2CH remote control system (remote sold separately), allowing for forward and backward movement as well as left and right rotation. The kit includes an easy-to-assemble remote box and a preassembled gearbox, ensuring a smooth building experience. To complete the assembly, all you need is a Phillips head screwdriver (+).
