WF-01 Winning Fumina

WF-01 Winning Fumina is a Gunpla built and flown by Minato Sakai in Gundam Build Fighters: Battlogue, appearing in the third of its five shorts. The design is Sakai's second pass at Fumina Hoshino, and this time it wears her Star Winning Gundam as a costume.

What it does in the story

The short sends it into the rescue of Bearbear Village. Super Fumina and Hyper Gyanko, upgraded to Command Fumina and Rick-Do Gyanko, are swamped by abandoned Acguy heads that merge into one huge Acguy. The village's Petit'gguys relight the pair, Command Fumina becomes Winning Fumina, and the Acguy is sent to the Gunpla factory in Shizuoka to be remade as Eco-Pla.

What makes it different

• The armour is a support unit. Its Cross-Up System is costume armour that raises mobility, attack and defence, and can also detach into the SD Star Winning Gundam, a separate support Gunpla. Splitting does not halve its power; the halves fight as a pair.
• The bits are armour first and weapons second. The Gun Bits are leg armour, each carrying a high-output beam cannon, and the Guard Bits are forearm armour that can raise a barrier in any direction or be thrown as small star crosses.
• One sword is made of everything else. The Star Buster Sword is the beam machine gun combined with all the Star Crosses, firing a continuous star-shaped beam from the tip.
• The pilot disguises his voice. Sakai flies it with a voice changer set to imitate Fumina's. She gave permission for the concept but was not told she would be turned into a Gunpla again.
