The White Scars are the V Legion of Space Marines in Warhammer 40,000, raised on the steppe world of Chogoris under their primarch, Jaghatai Khan. They call themselves the Ordu of Jaghatai, and they fight as fast-moving hunters rather than a siege force.
What makes White Scars stand out
-
Speed as doctrine.
Their warfare is built on shock assault and hit-and-run strikes, methods that began as the hunting practice of Chogoris' nomadic tribes. Bikes and jetbikes are how the Legion delivers them.
-
Khan and Keshig.
Jaghatai Khan commands, and the Keshig are his elite bodyguard. The black-armoured Ebon Keshig are Terminators serving as Kharash, warriors seeking ritual atonement.
-
Two eras, one range.
Qin Xa, Master of the Keshig in the Heresy, carries the paired blades called the Tails of the Dragon; Kor'sarro Khan, 51st Master of the Hunt, belongs to the 41st millennium.
