W

W is a Sarkaz mercenary in Arknights, Hypergryph's tower-defence game, and one of its six-star Artilleryman Snipers. She works with explosives, laughs while the blast goes off, and the game's own files note that nothing good comes of that laughter.

What makes W stand out

• Explosives, three ways Her skills are a thrown grenade, buried mines that detonate under whoever walks past, and D12 charges planted on the toughest enemies in range.
• A Sarkaz, with the temperament to match She works as a mercenary, and her file spends more room on her attitude than on her equipment. Few operators are worth her attention, and she says so.
• Loyalty that points elsewhere She is listed under Babel, a faction that no longer exists by the time of the main story, which tells you where her real allegiance sits.
• Black, grey and red Her design runs on that palette, built around a grenade launcher modelled on a modified M320 with a drum magazine, plus a carbine she never fires.
