LM312V04+SD-VB03A V-Dash Gundam

LM312V04+SD-VB03A V-Dash Gundam is the Victory Gundam with the SD-VB03A Overhang Pack fitted, flown by Uso Ewin in Mobile Suit Victory Gundam (U.C. 0153). The League Militaire fields it as a limited-production assault variant, It also appears in the Victory Gundam Outside Story manga.

What it does in the story

The pack exists because the plain Victory stopped being enough. As BESPA kept rolling out new machines, the League Militaire developed the Overhang Pack for more thrust, reach and firepower, so one suit could escort, bombard and still fight up close.

What makes it different

• The Overhang Cannons are the point of the pack. A pair of movable beam cannons with output well above a beam rifle sit on the pack. They tilt up to 90 degrees for ordinary use and are held level for long-range fire; the pack can even be handed to another suit.
• Fitting the pack costs it a transformation. The Victory's backpack thrusters go unused with the pack on, so the pack's own higher-output units become the main propulsion. Separation and combination still work, but it can no longer split into Top Fighter and Bottom Fighter; the Core Fighter becomes the Core Booster.
• Its heavy rifle was a salvage find. The Beam Smart Gun came out of an abandoned hangar at the Highland solar power satellite, designed thirty years earlier in the Cosmo Babylonia wars and nicknamed the laundry-drying pole.

How big is it?

• Overall height: 15.2 m at the head, 9.2 t empty and 20.8 t gross (Bandai's official spec)
• 1/144: roughly 10.6 cm
