Too Many Losing Heroines! (Makeine)

Too Many Losing Heroines! (Make Hiroin ga Ōsugiru!, or Makeine) is Takibi Amamori's light novel series, illustrated by Imigimuru and published under Shogakukan's Gagaga Bunko imprint since July 2021, with a manga on Ura Sunday from 2022 and an A-1 Pictures anime that aired from July to September 2024; a second season has been announced. Set in Toyohashi, Aichi, it follows self-described background character Kazuhiko Nukumizu after he sees his popular classmate Anna Yanami rejected by her childhood friend, labels her a "losing heroine" and ends up looking after her, the track-club ace Lemon Yakishio and the shy literature-club member Chika Komari. How to choose

Prize figures (SEGA, TAITO, FuRyu) are pre-painted, fixed-pose and the cheapest way to get a good sculpt. Articulated lines (Nendoroid, figma) are for posing and photography. Scale statues (1/7, 1/4) are the display centrepieces and cost the most. Availability changes as the makers reissue and retire items, so check each product page for the current status.
