Tifa Lockhart

Tifa Lockhart comes from Square's 1997 role-playing game Final Fantasy VII and returns in Remake and Rebirth. She runs the 7th Heaven bar in the slums of Midgar and fights alongside the eco-terrorist group AVALANCHE.

What makes Tifa Lockhart stand out

• She fights with her hands. Tifa was built on the series' monk class, so she carries no weapon. Her outfit was drawn for movement because of it: crop top, miniskirt on narrow suspenders, red boots and gloves.
• Tetsuya Nomura's design, revisited. He gave her the long dolphin-tail hair that separates her from Aerith. For Remake the team reworked it with him, adding wrist charms and an ashen brown hair colour.
• She is the reason Cloud stays. She finds an incoherent Cloud at the Midgar train station and talks him into joining AVALANCHE, wanting him close and safe.
• One silhouette across many games. She is playable in Ehrgeiz and Dissidia, cameos in Kingdom Hearts II, and appears in Advent Children.
