Sheryl Nome

Sheryl Nome is the singer at the centre of Macross Frontier, the 2008 Macross television series. She is known as the Galactic Fairy, a singer from the Macross Galaxy fleet who reaches Frontier on the last stop of a galactic tour.

What makes Sheryl Nome stand out

• A performer in charge of her own material. She writes her own words and music, and her concerts change her hair colour and costume with holographic staging rather than a wardrobe change.
• A voice split in two. Aya Endo supplies her speaking voice and May'n sings the songs, released under the name Sheryl Nome starring May'n.
• Small details do the work. She wears a purple fold quartz earring passed down from her mother, talks into a microphone-shaped phone, and has never taken the implant treatments common in her home fleet.
• She ends up in a cockpit. When the Galaxy fleet goes missing she stays on Frontier and transfers into the pilot course at Mihoshi Academy, flying a VF-25 Messiah despite having no real handling skill.
