Shaddiq Zenelli

Shaddiq Zenelli is a character in Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury. Born Jeru Ogul and raised through Grassley's orphanage programme, he was adopted by Sarius Zenelli, the head of Grassley Defense Systems, and leads Grassley House at Asticassia School of Technology.

What makes Shaddiq Zenelli stand out

• Business before piloting. He is a third-year in the piloting department, but the series seats him in company meetings beside his father and treats him as a candidate for the group's next generation of executives.
• The Michaelis. He pilots the CFK-029 Michaelis, a Grassley suit built as the successor to the Beguir-Beu. Its Beam Bracer uses non-kinetic effectors to shut down GUND-Format machines below a Permet score of 3, and a wire-guided lance is added later.
• Earthian by birth. He is half-Earthian, and his stated aim is to put Earth on equal footing with the space colonies rather than defend the order he was raised inside.
• An affable surface. He presents as friendly and unbothered in public while working his own arrangements underneath; the series keeps both sides in view.
