SB-011 Star Burning Gundam

SB-011 Star Burning Gundam is Sei Iori's own Gunpla in Gundam Build Fighters: GM's Counterattack (2017), the original story released after the TV series. He builds it from scratch rather than copying an existing suit, and designs it for both himself and Reiji to fly.

What it does in the story

When the Gunpla Mafia seize the new Yajima Stadium and steal Sei's Build Strike Cosmos, Sei answers with the Star Burning. Reiji arrives with an Arista on loan from Aila and the suit's punch destroys the mafia's Psycho GM, after which the two keep the promise to fight each other one on one.

What makes it different

• Nothing on it is a copy of another suit. Sei took whatever worked from other Gundam-type Gunpla and built one original machine around it, tuned for a wide range of styles and environments. Japanese material calls it the predecessor of the Build Burning Gundam.
• The rifle has two firing modes in one barrel. The beam rifle's barrel folds. Folded, it fires fast at low power; unfolded, output rises and the rate of fire drops.
• The RG System changes the suit's colour. Activating the Radial General Purpose system saturates the inner frame until it glows gold and turns the clear blue particle-storage parts bright orange. That state is the condition for the Hyper Star Burning Knuckle.

How big is it?

• Overall height: 18.2 m according to Bandai's official spec
• 1/144: roughly 12.6 cm, which matches the HGBF kit
