What Is S.H. Figuarts?

S.H.Figuarts is Tamashii Nations' premier line of highly articulated action figures, renowned for their exceptional poseability and detailed sculpting. S.H.Figuarts figures feature advanced joint engineering that allows natural, dynamic poses across virtually every body part. The line covers an enormous range of properties including Dragon Ball, Naruto, Kamen Rider, Marvel, Star Wars, and many more, with figures typically standing 14-16cm tall.

S.H. Figuarts: History and Evolution

S.H.Figuarts launched in 2008 under Bandai's Tamashii Nations collector brand, quickly establishing itself as the gold standard for articulated anime and tokusatsu figures. The line revolutionized the action figure market with its emphasis on poseability without sacrificing sculpt quality. S.H.Figuarts Dragon Ball figures have become particularly iconic, with characters like Goku and Vegeta receiving multiple versions reflecting different story arcs and transformations.

How to Choose Your S.H. Figuarts

S.H.Figuarts figures typically retail between $40-$80 USD for standard releases, with premium or larger figures priced higher. They come with multiple interchangeable hands, face plates, and effect parts for creating dynamic displays. Tamashii Stage display stands (sold separately) enable aerial and action poses. When starting your collection, choose a franchise you love and build around it — S.H.Figuarts figures from the same series display beautifully together.
