Rukia Kuchiki

Rukia Kuchiki is the Soul Reaper who hands Ichigo Kurosaki her powers in the first chapter of Tite Kubo's Bleach. She serves in the 13th Division, rising from lieutenant to captain, and is Byakuya Kuchiki's adopted sister.

What makes Rukia Kuchiki stand out

• Sode no Shirayuki works in dances. The release word is "Dance": blade, hilt and guard turn white, and her attacks come as named dances — Tsukishiro freezes a circle, Hakuren a wave of ice.
• The bankai changes the silhouette. Hakka no Togame dresses her in a white ankle-length kimono with an ice collar, ice half-crown and ribbons, and turns her hair and eyes white.
• Cold is the whole toolkit. She casts Hadō #73 Sōren Sōkatsui without incantation, and her temperature control freezes the ground underfoot into ice quakes.
